Having civic engagement as a top priority for our organization, we were excited to partake in our first Winter Coat Drive! We partnered with ICNA Relief to collect coats, as well as other clothing items for men, women, and children. Alhumdulillah we ended up with tons of bags of donations thanks to the generosity of our community!

On Sunday, we gathered at the ICNA Nassau Community Center to sort the items, and get them ready for donation. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers, we spent 2.5 hours organizing the donations and ended up with over 20 boxes of clothing items in good quality! The items were donated to a nearby donation center. We ended the evening with Maghrib and pizza for dinner.

We are grateful for all the blessings bestowed on us by Allah SWT, and want to ensure we give back to the community as much as we can. We aim to prioritize civic engagement opportunities, and would love to hear from you if you have any ideas!
